Microblogging giant X faces technical glitch, users unable to access feed

What problems did microblogging platform X face recently and how did it affect users?

At around 11am today, microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, suffered a significant technical glitch, rendering both its website and mobile applications inaccessible to users.  Instead of the regular Tweet feed, users got a message displaying 'Welcome to your Timeline.'  This massive disruption led to over 70,000 reports on Downdetector indicating the platform being unavailable.

Although the cause of this problem is unknown, some users noticed strange experiences like not being able to see ads and their own tweets on the profile.  Although users could search for specific profiles, posts failed to appear.

This is not an isolated incident for X.  Earlier this year, in both March and July, the Elon Musk-owned platform suffered outages.  In July, DownDetector recorded more than 13,000 instances of downtime in the US and UK, where users received the message "Sorry, your rate is limited. Please wait a moment and try again".

Similarly, on March 6, the platform faced hours of downtime, preventing access to links, images and videos.  The outage affected thousands of users, with reports of sluggish website performance in some areas.

Recurring technical issues have raised concerns among users about the stability and reliability of the platform during such service interruptions.
